El Carnaval de la isla de Cozumel es una festividad anual que se realiza en la ciudad insular de San Miguel de Cozumel, en el estado mexicano de Quintana Roo. Con una historia de más de 150 años, el único que ha conservado expresiones carnestolendas de valor histórico en la Península de Yucatán, y se ha convertido en un evento de patrimonio para el estado de Quintana Roo. Se distingue por su potencial turístico, sus aspectos culturales, su organización y su carácter familiar.
The Cozumel Island Carnival is an annual festivity held in the island city of San Miguel de Cozumel, in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. With a history of more
than 140 years, it is, along with the Campeche Carnival, the only one that has preserved Carnival expressions of historical value in the Yucatan Peninsula, and
has become a heritage event for the state of Quintana Roo. It is distinguished by its tourist potential, its cultural aspects, its organization and its family character.
